That it is the land of Shakespeare is verily the first fact known by most about the town of Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire. But there are a voluminous amount of things to do here alongside celebrating the birthplace of the Bard, like boating on or walking along the River Avon (one of our favourite UK rivers), declaiming dramatically when your nag wins at Stratford Racecourse, or shivering on a Stratford ghost walk telling the tales of town spooks.
If you have indeedly come to a Stratford-upon-Avon campsite for theatrical reasons like seeing a performance by the RSC or having a look at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, the accommodation options around the area should suit all little darlings, with a goodly range of tent, tourer and motorhome pitches as well as modern pods, lodges and static caravans.
Thespians on a Stratford-upon-Avon camping trip can also avail of the town’s central location: any Stratford campsite will put you in proximity of other English highlights like Warwick and its castle, shopping at Royal Leamington Spa, racing at Cheltenham, or wandering around chunks of Worcestershire, Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
