It’s where our favourite DJ Alan Partridge was born, brought up and got a dead cow tipped on his boat by incandescent farmers – which is reason enough to go in itself, we think. Norfolk, East Anglia, is home of the Broads, Great Yarmouth, the cathedral city of Norwich, teeny villages and market towns, and is teeming with nature reserves, coastal walks and family attractions including theme parks, wildlife parks and adventure centres. It’s also the home of Bill Bryson and, as he’s a worldwide travel writer, we surmise that he shows exceedingly good taste. As does Her Maj, who pitches up often at Norfolk’s Sandringham…
