We could wax lyrical all day about the sights and attractions of East Anglia’s Suffolk, if we had an unlimited word count and very fast typing fingers. So, with restraint, we’ll limit ourselves to just a few Suffolk highlights which we think would look good on anyone’s must-see list. There’s the acclaimed Anglo-Saxon burial site Sutton Hoo, walks and bike rides through Constable Country, the seaside town of Southwold (and the Suffolk Heritage Coast), and having a flutter at Newmarket Racecourses. And we have to mention the local Adnam’s ale too, because it’s tasty.
Staying at a Suffolk campsite or holiday park also gives easy urban access for those who are town types: as well as the Suffolk centres of Ipswich and Bury St Edmonds, it’s just across the border to Cambridge to the west and Colchester to the south. We’d recommend things to do in all these cities too, but we can sense ourselves running out of space…
