We may have gone on a couple of times about the birds at Bridlington’s Bempton Cliffs, but, well, you would too if you saw them. We may have also gone about the beaches of East Yorkshire too, but, well, you would too if… you can see where this is going.
Avoid the busy south and go camping in East Yorkshire instead for a bonzer beach holiday at Bridlington, Withernsea, Fraisthorpe, Wilsthorpe, Danes Dyke and other sands along the county’s 80 miles of coast – and a quick flit to Whitby, Scarborough and the beaches of North Yorkshire. Our East Yorkshire campsites list bathing waters nearby and their quality for the past four years: click on the Local attractions tab for details and for info on things to see and do.
If you’re looking for non-beachy activities, head to Hull and Hornsea (JRR Tolkien once lived here, Hobbit fans) for shopping at the former and sailing on Yorkshire’s biggest lake at the latter, or potter to a few of the many historical houses, halls and other dwellings dotted around, like Burton Constable Hall and Skipsea Castle. We may have gone on a few times about the heritage highlights in the Yorkshire ridings too.
