Lucky 13 for top city Edinburgh

Edinburgh’s done it again…for the thirteenth year in a row, the Scottish capital has claimed the title of best UK city.

Readers at the Guardian and the Observer’s online and print editions voted for their favourites in a number of travel categories, including best UK city, best overseas city and best train company, with Edinburgh coming out top in the UK category yet again.

Bath took second place among readers’ favourites, with York, Liverpool and Cambridge also in the top five.
