Like its Cornish counterpart Newquay, we’re sure we don’t need to tell you that Woolacombe is a lot about the surf. The North Devon seaside with its three-mile long main beach has some top surfing spots, with all the sailing, watersports and boat trips that come with – but there’s quite a bit happening on land too for when you’ve dried off: Woolacombe is on the South West Coast Path and the Tarka Trail, and it’s all part of the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There’s nightlife too for after you’ve doffed the wetsuit or walking boots, and Ilfracombe is just along the coast for more of the same.
Devon’s a big draw for big family parks, and you’ll find a wide choice of these here, with Woolacombe holiday parks catering for all ages and tastes and normally including swimming pools, kids’ clubs and evening entertainment. Like the surf, we recommend just diving right in, but if you do have specific criteria for your Woolacombe holiday, have a look at our dozens of filters to narrow it all down.
