Festivals, natural parks, mountain biking, seaside resorts and beaches so popular that millions of sun-seeking savvy holidaymakers flock to them each year… if your Spanish holiday doesn’t at some time include the province of Comunidad Valenciana/Valencia, we’ll eat our sombrero.
Beaches including the sparklingly white sands of Benidorm are among Comunidad Valenciana’s gems on the 200km-long Costa Blanca, Costa del Azahar and Costa Cálida and within simple Spanish driving distance of most Comunidad Valenciana campsites. We’d suggest a mixture of baking lazily on the sands, visiting the ancient cities and villages clustered around the coast (Valencia has had humans here for over 50,000 years), and immersing oneself in watery sports: the suitability of these parts for watersports saw Valencia hosting the America's Cup, and schools of all flavours are scattered around the coast to help visitors learn the ropes.
Comunidad Valenciana holidays are also prime spots for hiking and wildlife watching in several natural parks, festivals like Las Fallas and Alcoy’s Moors and Christians, cities like Alicante and Elche, and the cathedrals and museums of Valencia and Murcia… look under the ‘Local attractions tab of a Valencia campsite to find out what to see and do.
