Dales. And moors, seaside towns, castles and Yorkshire pudding, servable only in our household with half a pint of gravy (per pud) and with Wensleydale cheese to follow (in slabs). And forests, coastal paths, Roman remains and Craster kippers: if these last sound too fishy, you might like a trip to Howick Hall, home of Earl Grey tea or to Lindisfarne for local oysters. We seem to be veering towards the culinary aspects of north-east England here, but then there’s nothing wrong with eating your way around the place: you can burn it all off with some hiking, biking or swimming from your campsite base – or do some horse-riding if you’ve over-indulged and don't feel energetic.
To find north-east England campsites and holiday parks according to your own holiday flavour, pick from accommodation type, groups welcome, leisure, amenities and more from among our dozens of filters, or look for north-east campsites by price, availability, user rating or location. Food will always be nearby.
