Coastal walking or lying on the beach getting sand in your sandwiches? Both are up for grabs in Pembrokeshire, home to Britain’s only coastal national park and with more Blue Flag and cleanliness awards than any other county in the UK. You might not manage all 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (not in one day anyway) but there are acres of walks all around from easy strolls to harder hikes – and a coastal bus service running all year round to pick you up after a hard day’s/hour’s walking. Which is what we always like to see when we have sore feet.
For sandy feet, there are over fifty Pembrokeshire beaches to pick from including family stretches like Tenby and Saundersfoot or quieter corners like Druidston or Aberbach. Most Pembrokeshire campsites and holiday parks are within a quick drive of a beach: use our ‘Within 15 miles’ filter to ensure a sandy hol, or filter your search according to dozens of other themes and activities on site and nearby.
